Green Convention Center

The Lawrence Convention Center, recently opened in Pittsburgh, is being noted as the world's largest green building. Its builders and owners hope that the building's green features draw crowds from around the world.

The center received a Gold LEED rating and is expected to save 35% of the energy used by a similar center. Most of these savings come from a daylighting and lighting system that works together to provide optimum lighting and to save energy.
