Green Building Competition
The U.S. Green Building Council is the nation’s foremost coalition of leaders from across the building industry working to promote buildings that are environmentally responsible and profitable, as well as healthy places to live and work. An Emerging Green Builder is defined as a student or emerging professional interested in becoming involved in the green building movement.
The USGBC NaturalTalent 2005 Design Competition provides an applied learning experience in the principles of integrated design, sustainability, innovation, and social consciousness; all of which are components of the LEED Green Building Rating System.
This year, working with Boys & Girls Clubs of America, USGBC will select two planned Boys & Girls Club projects as the subjects of this year’s competition. There are 3,600 local Boys & Girls Clubs facilities that serve over 4 million disadvantaged youth through afterschool programs. ...
People who are eligible to enter are college students of any discipline and people in the building industry with less than 5 years of experience. The submission deadline is June, 2005. Prizes are money towards LEED education and winning projects will be presented at the next Green Building Expo.
